She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Richard Hail and Uhlma Alice Hail; her husband Ottis Upton; and her son-in-law David Purvis. She is survived by: her daughters, Sondra Price (Tom), Elyse Thompson (Jim), Margaret Eddins (Franklin) and Sara Purvis; her grandchildren, Rachel Flum (Josh), Tom Price (Kate), Emily Rea (John), Jamie Thompson, Brooke Lowry (Eli), Marla Donald (Sam), Elic Purvis (Alex), Anna Carole Purvis and Wesley Purvis; and her great grandchildren, Samantha Flum, Nate Flum, Ben Flum, Penny Price, Oliver Price, Graceley Thompson, Walker Rea, Brooklyn Lowry, Blake Lowry, Parker Eddins, Paisley Boyd and Ledger Donald.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Robert Barham Family Funeral Home (6300 MS-39, Meridian, MS 39305). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the College Park Methodist Church, where Mrs. Upton was a congregant.
