Sara Boureau Scaggs Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 29, 2025, at the age of 86, Sara Boureau Scaggs of Meridian, Mississippi, born in Coral Gables, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Sara may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sara touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Boureau and Vivian Boureau; her husband Bill; and her son Ben. She is survived by: her sister Mary Lee Grove; her son Frank (Wendy) of Fort Worth, TX; her daughter-in-law Janice (Jackson); and her children, Susan (Kimberly Monroe) of Dandridge, TN and Skip (Brenda) of Amory. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Episcopal Church (3825 35th Ave, Meridian, MS 39305).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Scaggs Family Fund at the Meridian Community College Foundation or the Episcopal Church of the Mediator.
