She was predeceased by: her parents, Weston Blake and Lorene Fant (Flaherty); her husband A. B. Sims; her brother Wayne Fant; and her son-in-law Wayne Thomas.
She is survived by: her daughters, Monda Fountain, Barbara Walters (Thomas) and Sherry Thomas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes North (7774 MS-39, Meridian, MS 39305). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at the Bethel Umc Cemetery (4328 Old 8th Street Rd N, Meridian, MS 39307).
