It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luther Bruce Smith of Meridian, Mississippi, born in Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Henry Smith Sr. and Evelyn Elizabeth Vance; and his brother Henry Smith. He is survived by: his wife Tina Fitzgerald Smith; his children, Lindi Palmer (David) and Tyler Smith (Caroline); his grandchildren, Laney Palmer, Aiden Palmer, Irwin Leigh, Noah Smith, Alexander Smith and Silas Smith; and his siblings, Elizabeth Beckham (Gary), Jerry Smith (Carla), James Smith and Velma Rainer (Terry). He is also survived by his family and friends.
