He was predeceased by: his parents, Drayton Bernhard and Annie Bernhard. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Bernhard; his son Daniel Bernhard; his mother-in-law Sharolyn Carey; and his brothers-in-law, Aaron Carey (Brenda Mae) and Kevin Carey (Aurora). He is also survived by four nephews, four great-nephews, one great-niece, and several cousins.
