It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Alfred King of Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara King; his parents, George William and Willer Louise King; his siblings, Gladys Booker, Alvin King, Roy King, Billy King, Earl King and Walter King; and his grandchildren, Peyton King and Abigail Upton.
He is survived by: his children, Scarlett Stevens of Meridian, Carla Walton, Steve of DeKalb, George King and Donna of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Krystal King, James King, Amanda Nichols, Jacob King, Joshua King, Justin King, Ashley Upton, John Cumberland, Mamie Jenkins, Kala Pitts, Casey McCoy, Caleb McCoy and Paul Dee McCoy. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
