It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Thomas Edwards (Meridian, Mississippi), who passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though George may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his son Timothy Duane Edwards; and his parents, George Edwards and Edna Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Jean Edwards; his son David Edwards (Teri); his grandchildren, John Philip Edwards and Riley Morgan Edwards (Zach Walker); and his brother-in-law Stanley Gressett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
