He was predeceased by: his mother Lorene Rose (Fason); his son Joseph Cary Rose; and his siblings, James Rose, Rena Pearl Buckley and Mary Cullum Rawson.

He is survived by: his father Robert Rose; his wife Norma S. Rose; his children, Kevin Rose, Nancy Valles, Fonda Skelton (Kent) and Lorna Copeland (Matthew); his daughter-in-law Nancy Rose; his siblings, Michael Rose, Teddy Rose (Lauren), Joy Burns (Sammy) and Joyce Brushaber (Kevin); his grandchildren, Joey Rose, Danny Alford, Lane Copeland, Joshua Skelton and Taylor Skelton; and his son-in-law Matt Copeland. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
