She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Sanderford Covington and Joseph Stephens Covington; and her siblings, Myrtle Valentine, Joe Allison Covington, Nonie Roberts, Daphne Hopper and Cherry Kay Covington.
She is survived by: her sister Rachel Marie Covington. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be shared with Prospect Presbyterian Church at 7876 Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian, MS 39305 or a charity of donor's choice.
