With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bennett Lee Hawn of Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on May 23, 2024 at the age of 14. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandmother Vicki Welch of Hattiesburg, MS; his great-grandparents, Wesley, Dorothy Hawn of Jayess, MS, Thomas Welch, Belinda Davenport of Hattiesburg, MS and Mary Pace of Daleville, MS; and his stepgreat-grandmother Kristy Graham of Dalewood, MS..

He is survived by: his stepfather Lindsey Jo (James Prentiss Rogers); his father Jonathan Ryan Hawn (Sarah Peavy) of Hattiesburg; his grandfather Billy Hawn (Sylvia) of Meridian, MS; his stepgrandparents, Jeri Rogers of Pine Springs, MS and Roy Rogers (Shauna) of Columbiana, AL; his friend Bennett; and his pets, Duke, Dean, Annabelle and Houser. He is also survived by his loving family, including his mother.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bennett's honor towards Bejamin Russell Hospital for Children in Birmingham, Alabama, The Charlie Landers Foundation for Ewing's Sarcoma, or Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency.
