She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alexander and Louvenia Quinn; her sister Ada Bell Moore; and her son Gary Sandifer. She is survived by: her children, Grover Alexander, Pamela Alexander, Calvin Alexander (Ann), Francine Garrett (Sedrick), Dwight Funches, Trudy Funches and Kawat Funches; her sister Della Powell Willis; her granddaughter LaKendra Alexander; and her nephew Quamaine Durr. She is also survived by 35 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the J & M Funeral Home (732 Dixie Ave, Mendenhall, MS 39114). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Hymn Missionary Baptist Church (755 Simpson Hwy 28 W, Pinola, MS 39149). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the same location.
