He was predeceased by: his wife Debbie Monk; his parents, Edd Monk and Janie Monk; and his siblings, Ellis Monk and Mary Francis Monk.
He is survived by: his children, Biff Monk (Edie) of Richland, MS, Loren Monk (Dana) of Columbia, Blake Monk of Odessa and Brittany Burgess (Tom) of Wesson; his grandchildren, Hannah Hawthorne (Reed), Caleb Monk (Paige), Landon Monk (Mikala), Layton Monk, Molly Bennett (Caleb), Braelyn Monk, Cooper Monk, Carson Monk, Addie Monk, Sophie Burgess and Ben Burgess; his great grandchildren, Jenna Monk, Bethany Monk, Sarah Monk, Laura Monk and Rowan Hawthorne; his siblings, Benny Monk (Ann), Joe Monk (Kathy) and Frankie Jones; and his sister-in-law Betty Monk. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
