He is survived by: his niece Gillie Hartfield (Blain); his children, Joshua May, Chris May, Rose Kennedy, Cynthia McDaniel and Tonya Barefield; and his stepchildren, Scotty McMahan, Pamela Smith (Ike) and Angela Camposeco (Marin). He is also survived by three grandchildren; six- step grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
