He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Taylor and Bertha Taylor; and his siblings, Clinton Taylor, Alton Taylor, Clarence Taylor, Ann Taylor and Idell Pierrier.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Taylor of Mendenhall; and his sons, Charles Taylor (Claire) of Maryland, Joseph Taylor (Kim) of Florida, Larry Taylor (Tammy) of Florida, David Taylor of Florida and David Stewart (Sandra) of Magee. He is also survived by seven granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; two great-grandsons.
