He was predeceased by: his parents, Bishop Russell and Rosie Russell; and his son Roscoe Russell. He is survived by: his children, Lena Mae Dixon, Regina Lafaye Watkins (Phillip), Reginald LaVon "Rusty" Russell, Calvin Scott Russell (Sheron) and Rolanda LaKeysha Russell (Jonathan); and his grandchildren, Dr. Marquita Renee Watkins, Pheron Calisha Russell, Faith Dominique Watkins and David Emery Lee Watkins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
