She is survived by: her children, Charlie Byrd, Viola Davis Byrd and Darren Newborn; her grandchildren, Darren, Jr., Jamaal, Avery, DeOnta and DeNa; and her siblings, Lena Williams, Leola Buckley, Eliza Barber, Rosetta McGee, Charlie Ray Byrd, Ernest Byrd, Robert Byrd, Joe T. Byrd, Eddie Byrd and Noble Young. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
