She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Canoy and Audell Canoy; her brothers, Durwood Canoy and Lowery Canoy; her niece Jiconda Parker; and her nephew Zachary Parker.

She is survived by: her siblings, Gwen Yarber (Ben) of Columbus, Mississippi, Ruby Meadows of Mize, Mississippi and Rockey Canoy (Janice) of Magee, Mississippi; her sisters-in-law, Jean Canoy of Danbury, Texas and Deloris Canoy of Florence, Mississippi; and also Patches.
