It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Smith (Mendenhall, Mississippi), who passed away on August 11, 2019, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston H. Thompson and Juanita Evans Thompson; her husband Jimmy Smith; her son James Rayborn; and her siblings, Bill Thompson, Kenneth Thompson, Burnell Thompson, Thurman Thompson, Deloris Hardin, Pat Orender and Herman Lee Thompson.
She is survived by: her son Ricky Rayborn; her siblings, Charles Thompson (Kathy), Larry Thompson (Joy), Steven Thompson and Dovie Nimmo; her grandchildren, Shane Rayborn (Ashley) of Preston Rayborn, B. J, Amber Phillips (Chase) and Richard Rayborn (Carlie); and her great grandchildren, Cole Rayborn, James Rayborn, Lucas Rayborn, Isaiah Rayborn, Nathan Rose, Shawn Phillips and Kemeron Phillips. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
