He was predeceased by: his father Bobby McGovern; and his daughter Kayla McGovern. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kathy McGovern; his children, Dalton McGovern and Angela Johnston (Dennis); and his brothers, Sammy McGovern (Barbara), Randy McGovern (Kim), Joe McGovern (Kathy) and Junior McGovern (Connie). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
