He was predeceased by: his parents, Barnette Mills Broocks and Nellie Martin Broocks; and his sisters, Mary Catherine Broocks and Nannie Belle Broocks Womack. He is survived by: his daughters, Gwendolyn Carol Broocks Truelove (Rockye), Sandra Kay Broocks Grant (Kevin) and Stephanie Renee Broocks Purser (Jeremy); his stepdaughters, Bridget Havens and Jennifer Riley (Brian); and his sister Florria Broocks Carrell (Jimmy). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee (302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS 39111). A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (3333 Simpson Hwy 28 W, Mendenhall, MS 39114).
