She was predeceased by : her parents, Julius Everett Jackson and Lilly Whittington Jackson; her siblings, Edith Walker, Althea Jackson, Essie Whittington, Betty Delvisco, Alberta Thompson, Mildred Gill, Helen Huff, Annie Laura "Polly" Jackson, Grover Jackson and Milford Jackson; and her great grandchild Paul Jasper.

She is survived by : her children, Donnie Carnette of Liberty, MS and Byron Carnette (Gwen) of Natchez, MS; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Jasper (Steve) and Stacey Weed (Don); and her great grandchildren, Allison Jasper, Daniel Jasper and Ashley Weed.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Siloam Baptist Church (8031 US-98, Meadville, MS 39653). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
