The passing of Alice Marie Buckles of Meadville, Mississippi leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 26, 2025 at the age of 83. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis H. Buckles and Lucy Milbry Hutchins Buckles; and her siblings, Lonnie Buckles, James Buckles, William Buckles, Charles Buckles, Clara Ann Holland, Lillie Thomas and Betty Buckles.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Stroud, James Earl Stroud, Howard Stroud, Sherry Oglesby (Lynn) and Brenda Byrd (Tommy); and her sister Judy Carter. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Franklin Funeral Home (291 Main St, Meadville, MS 39653). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Midway Cemetery (1200 MS-184, Meadville, MS 39653).
The family request memorials be made in her name to Apostolic Outreach Fellowship Hall Building Fund, 514 Bunkley Rd SW Meadville, MS 39653.
