Betty Marlene Freeman Obituary
Betty Marlene Freeman, a native and resident of McLain, Mississippi, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017. She was 60 years old. Marlene was born in Lucedale, Mississippi, on January 18, 1956, to Wilburn and Betty Ann Parker. After school, Betty worked as a nursing aid. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of McLain and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her family will cherish Marlene's memory forever, especially her daughters, Selina Parker, Penny Pierce, and Elizabeth Freeman; her step daughters, Melanie Byrd and Amanda Freeman; her step son, Steven Freeman; her four grandkids, Greg Parker, Logan Parker, Marlena Pierce, and Raye Lynn Pierce; her mother, Betty Parker; her brothers, Joby Parker, William Edward Parker, Allen Parker, Richard Parker, and Bobby Parker; and many other relatives and friends.
A wake will be held for Marlene beginning at 6pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2016, at First Pentecostal Church of McLain. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at First Pentecostal Church of McLain with Bro. Richard Strain officiating. Burial will follow in Progress Cemetery.
