He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis A. Massey and Daisy Shumaker Massey; and his brother Sammy Charles "Odie" Massey. He is survived by: his wife Carol Patterson Massey; his daughter Cathy McCool (Dan) of McCool, Mississippi.; and his sister Carol Coats of Louisville.
