He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Robert Garner and Carolyn Elizabeth Lyons Garner; his in-laws, Jimmy and Nelda Long; his friend Brian Kaskie; his close friends, Tommy Daughdrill, Tal Braddock, Barry Hart, Frank Campbell, Rayford Burris, Carlisle, Lynn Troutman and Mary Beth Miller; and also Jay Long.
He is survived by: his daughter Greta Gayle (Eric); his significant other Monica Long; his grandchildren, Simmons Ann, Sam and Grace; his children, Anna Gayle Hudson and Jonah Lyons Flynt; and his cousin Steve Blue.
