It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stewart Smith of McComb, Mississippi, born in Kentwood, Louisiana, who passed away on March 9, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Francis Smith and Ivanee Stewart Smith Hunt; his stepfather Lawrence Hunt; his siblings, James Smith, Jane Idell Smith and Agrea Ann Smith; and his great grandchild Ivy Susaita.

He is survived by: his wife Aileen Barr Smith; his children, Stewart A. Smith Jr. (Arlene), Catherine Smith Brooking and Theresa Smith Fisackerly (Wiley); and his grandchildren, Stewart A. "Trey" Smith III, Wade Tyler Smith, Mason Daniel Smith, David Michael Brooking, Stephen Stewart Gale, Aileen DeHart, Linnie Sustaita and Frances Fisackerly. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren with numerous nieces and nephews.
