She was predeceased by: her husband John Edward Newman; her son Dr. Jeffrey Newman; her great grandchild John Harris Savoie; her siblings, Virge Norman, Jep Lenoir and Buddy Burris; and her parents, Frank Burris and Georgia Gerald Burris.
She is survived by: her son Michael Newman of McComb, MS; her grandchildren, Holly Kleiman (Dave) of Carlsbad, CA, Nina Savoie (Joseph) of Belle Rose, LA, Meg Newman of Jackson, MS and Hunter Newman (Misty) of Mishawaka, IN; and her great grandchildren, Clay Savoie, Allison Newman, Atticus Newman and Everett Newman. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
