It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maida Wells of McComb, Mississippi, who passed away on January 5, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tannie Matthews and Gladys Brown Matthews; her husband Jimmy Lee Wells; her siblings, Evelyn Hodges, Doris Adams, Willis Earl Matthews and Bernard Matthews; her grandson Joe Callender; and her close friend Billy Dykes, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Preston Wells (Donna) of McComb, Greg Wells (Shelia) of Magnolia and Cara Varnado (Lance) of McComb; her siblings, Ronnie Matthews of Lexington, Burley Matthews of Fayetteville and Ellen Johns of Mendenhall, MS; and her grandchildren, Nicole Vick, Shelby Wells, Abby Jane Varnado, Rodrick Varnado and Chris Wells.
