It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Linton Corkern of McComb, Mississippi, born in Amite, Louisiana, who passed away on April 16, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Corkern and LouElla Stevens Corkern; his former wife Shirley Courtney Corkern; his son Scott Edward Corkern; and his siblings, Purvis Corkern, Mildred Rayburn and Doris LaBauve.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Wells Corkern of McComb; his sons, Keith Wells (Terri) and Kevin B. Wells of Summit, MS; and his brothers, Douglas Corkern (Deloris) and Donnie Corkern (Pamela). He is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mars Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
