He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brister and Fleeda Moody Brister. He is survived by: his wife Rose Moore Brister of Summit; his sons, Jay Bradley Brister of Liberty and Jacob Brandon (Amanda Brister) of Gonzales, Louisiana.; his stepsons, Kenneth (Susan Call) of Liberty and Gary (Rebekah Call) of Jayess, Mississippi.; and his brother Van "Butch" (Charline Brister) of Avon.
