He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric "Pete" Fortenberry and Leona Bardwell Fortenberry; his wife Dolores Cook Fortenberry; his sons, Mike Fortenberry and Mark Fortenberry; and his siblings, Jimmy, Glen, Charles Fortenberry and Betty Sue Kuyrkendall.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna Tolar (Austin) of Tylertown; his grandchildren, Erin Fortenberry (Ron), Will Tolar (Jamie) and Jesse Fortenberry of McComb; and his great grandchildren, Jackson and Anna Claire Fortenberry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
