It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dwayne Worthy of McComb, Mississippi, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Dwayne may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his mother Evie Lee Worthy; and his brother John Phillip Worthy. He is survived by: his wife Jodie B. Worthy of McComb; his children, Grayson Hewitt of McComb and Greta Whittington of McComb; his grandson Ashton Foy; his nephews, Drew Worthy (Courtney) of Prairieville, LA and Van Worthy (Brianna) of Denham Springs; and his sister-in-law Paula Decoux of Summit, MS.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hartman Jones Funeral Home (1801 Delaware Ave, McComb, MS 39648). A memorial service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
