He was predeceased by: his wife Hortense Boutwell Taylor; his parents, John David Taylor and Cora Haile Taylor; and his siblings, James Taylor (Christine), Nelson Taylor (Ruby), Billy Taylor (Fern), AC Taylor (Marvel), Pete Taylor (Felicia) and Lavada Odom (Clayton).
He is survived by: his sister Sue Powell (Felder). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sharkey Funeral Home (1023 Old Brookhaven Rd, Summit, MS 39666). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at the Pike Memorial Gardens (2039 US-98, McComb, MS 39648).
