She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Smith and Cordie Smith; her former husband Willie Ray Buckels; and her siblings, Cedric Hugh Smith, Shelton Lamar Smith, Dorothy Smith Livingston and Maxine Smith Pritchard.
She is survived by: her husband James William Kirkland; her children, Willie Buckels (Nancy), Ricky Buckels (Debbie), Joey Buckels (Renae) and Cheryl Buckels Jordan (Joe); her stepdaughter Donna Kirkland Woods (Gary); her sister Nancy Boswell (Charles); her grandchildren, Bradley S. Jordan, Bryan M. Jordan, Beth Jordan Domingue, Joshua L. Buckels, Jessica Buckels Langley, Monica Buckels Cooper, Will D. Buckels, Jake P. Buckels, Holly Buckels Walker, Marley Buckels Duck and Ashley Buckels Corban; and her siblings-in-law, Roy and Mary Buckels. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
