He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Jones and Mattie Jones; his granddaughter Charity Hope Green; and his sisters, Irene Lamb, Imogene Hester, Helen Patton and Wilma Bowles.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Weaver Jones; his daughters, Patty Green of Marks, MS and Sandy Burke (Bill) of Marks, MS; his nephew Randy Hester of Marks, MS; his grandchildren, C. J. Green of Marks, MS, Samantha Burke (Dalton Fillyaw) of Charleston, MS, Logan "Bubba" Burke of Marks, MS and Christian Hester of Marks, MS; his great grandchildren, Mason Green of Marks, MS and Emery Fillyaw of Charleston, MS; and his sister-in-law Brenda Pittman of Marks, MS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home (323 M. L. K. Jr Dr, Marks, MS 38646). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at the Forrest Memorial Park (340 Hwy 35 N, Batesville, MS 38606).
