He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Blackwell and Lena Bowman; and his stepfather Willard Bowman. He is survived by: his wife Vicky Blackwell; his sons, Desmond Armstrong (Theresa) and Donovan Blackwell (Jennifer); his sister Rebecca Brown; his grandchildren, Trent Duplantis, Dylan Armstrong, Laken Miller (Warren), Natalie Douglas and John Douglas (Aly); and his great grandchildren, Molly Miller, Ella Douglas and Milo Douglas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
