With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lynn Ray Greene of Marietta, Mississippi, who passed away on December 26, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Greene and Vivian Williams Greene; and his siblings, Nellie Simmonds, Rachel Rossi, Joyce Barber, Louise Panis, Nancy Mortimer, J. W., Huey, Lamar and Jimmy Lane.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Farrar Greene of Marietta; his daughters, Sara Lynn Childers (Barry) of Fulton and Loretta Beasley of Booneville; his grandchildren, Austin Beasley (Allie), Kacie Morales (Matt) and Carly Faulkner (Will); his great grandchildren, Piper and Parker Beasley; his siblings, William Greene of Dennis, Lou Della Thomas of Booneville and Patricia Hancock (Hal) of Tupelo; and his nephews, Mark Thomas, Hugh Greene, Malcom Greene, Jake Greene, Ricky Greene, Greg Hancock, Bobby Michael, Jeff Michael and Jim Barber. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (309 N 2nd St, Baldwyn, MS 38824). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Marietta Church of Christ or Zion Rest Cemetery, c/o Farmers & Merchant's Bank, Marietta, MS.
