He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Preston and Ruthie Mae Canoy; and his wife Delores Thompson Canoy. He is survived by: his children, Regina Gail Canoy of Louisiana and Russell Glynn Canoy of Brookhaven; and his siblings, Nancy Hamilton, Virginia Dyson, Joe of Lumberton, Sam Canoy, Katherine of Ector, TX and Dorothy Hamilton of Wiggins. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
