She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Griffie and Lafaye Robinson Griffie; her husband Billy Jack McCarthy; and her sisters, Martha Ruth Fikes and Judy Lynn Phifer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shauna Clouse (Scott) of Mantachie and Amanda Wheeler (Bryan) of Fulton; her grandchildren, Jacob Clouse (Hannah), Sarah Clouse (Reece), Molly Beth Wheeler and McCarthy Wheeler; and her brother Kenneth Griffie of Amory.
