It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne Wilburn of Mantachie, Mississippi, who passed away on June 4, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Laverne is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dow Stevens and Cleta Mae Christian Stevens; her husband Paul William "Pete" Wilburn; her siblings, Charles Stevens, Johnny Babicz and Louise Ward; and her grandparents, Ellie and Virgie Boyd Christian.
She is survived by: her children, Paul William Wilburn, Jr. (Evonne) of Houston, TX, David Allen Wilburn of Tupelo, Johnny Dow Wilburn of Ozark and Debra Laverne Haynes (Perri) of Ozark. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
