He is survived by: his children, Garry Morris McFerrin (Gail) and Cindy Nichols (Tony) of Mantachie; his grandchildren, Dr. Mac Nichols (Joli) of Oxford, Maggie Young (Craig) of Mantachie and Evan McFerrin (Morgan) of Mantachie; his great grandchildren, Peyton Nichols Young, Bessie Rose and Lochlan McFerrin Nichols; and his brother Bobby Joe McFerrin (Mildred) of Mantachie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
