She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Kitchens and Lorene Kitchens; her children, Jerry Essary, Teresa Mercer and Sandra King; her grandparents, Nora Kitchens, Lee and Annie Wooley; and her siblings, Horace Kitchens, Billy Kitchens and Doris Robinson.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Essary (Amy) and Christie Leatherwood (Joey). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
