Ollie May Shipman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ollie May Shipman in Magnolia, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William McKinley and Jo Vera Milender Shipman; and her siblings, Peggy Jo Shipman, Earlene Cook, Betty Sue Gant, Mary Ann Baldwin and Emory Shipman.
She is survived by: her siblings, Dorothy Whitehurst, Marcus Shipman (Nyla) and Jerry Shipman (Marie); and her nieces and nephews, Wanda Newcomb, Sheri Kohler, Patti Whitehurst, Debbie King, Sharon Counce, Serita Redding, Mike Shipman, Melba Lewis, Steve Gant, Tony Baldwin, Ricky Baldwin, Tracy Shipman, Angela Shipman and Ritchie Shipman. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, great-great-great nieces and nephews, and family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (613 Bunch St, Corinth, MS 38834). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery (155 Co Rd 602, Corinth, MS 38834). Having survived cancer and COVID, she continued to live in her own home, which was always filled with family, food, love and laughter, until the last few weeks of her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Ollie May Shipman to the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.
