He was predeceased by: his parents, James Newton and Ada Wilbanks Sexton; his children, James William Sexton and Merideth O'Neal Sexton; and his brothers, Gerald Sexton and Earnest Sexton.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Melissa Foust of Olive Branch, MS; his brother Colon Sexton (Nila) of Walnut, MS; his grandchildren, Olivia Grace Sexton of Memphis, TN and Makenzi Sexton of Olive Branch, MS; the mother of his children Willette Campbell of Memphis, TN; and his sister-in-law Martha Sexton of Alabama. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
