She was predeceased by: her parents, Jourd Moore and Burnice Moore; her husband Norris Thornton; her siblings, Dub Moore and Patsy Duvall; her siblings-in-law, Clinton Hood and Patricia Thornton; her nephew William Moore; and her niece Tammy Rodgers.

She is survived by: her sons, Michael Thornton (Angie), Marlan Thornton (Amber) and Raben Thornton; her siblings, Mack Moore (Barbara), Nellie Hood (Gene) and Doris Hood; her brother-in-law James Thornton; and her grandchildren, Amanda Thornton, Kristin Lambert (A. J.), Blake Thornton (Katherine), Kent Thornton and Kenna Thornton. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
