He is survived by: his son Cody Shields (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Cameron Shields, Braxton Shields, Kinsley Shields, Madison Reynolds and Preston Shields; his sons, Christopher Chenault (Mary Beth) and Jonathan Chenault (Shelby); his sisters, Terri Cornelius, Rie Shields and Betty Puttman; the mother of his child Linda Sheffield (James); and his daughter Cathy Shields.
