She was predeceased by: her parents, Frazier Sterling and Rubye Davis Sterling; her sons, Gregory Sterling Evans and Dr. Vernon Scott Evans; her brothers, Charles Sterling, Wendell Sterling (Lynn), Glen Sterling and Jerry Sterling (Shirley); and her brother-in-law Jerry Foster.
She is survived by: her husband Phillip Evans, Sr.; her sons, Phil Evans, Jr. (Anna) and Chuck Evans (Kay); her siblings, Paul Sterling, Frances Walker (Eugene), Patricia Seale (Jack), Pauline Behlar (Jimmy) and Cheryl Foster; her grandchildren, Sarah Rabalais (Brad), Leah Templeton (Michael), Stacey Evans, Jennifer Crosby and Henry Crosby; and her great grandchild Brayden Bordelon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to South McComb Baptist Church in her name.
