She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Creel and Bertha Creel; her husband Sandifer Whitley; her sons, Charles Pettis, Jerry Pettis and Edgar Pettis; and her sister Lillie Daniels.
She is survived by: her daughters, Florence Adcock (Glenn) and Priscilla Edwards; and her sisters, Ada Walley and Minnie Lonney. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; 8 great- great children.
