She was predeceased by: her husband John Earl Hays Sr.; her daughter Donna Hays Brown; her parents, Howard McWilliams and Virginia Dickerson McWilliams; and her grandson Hunter Degueyter.
She is survived by: her children, Jay Hays (Amanda), David Hays (Marsha), Tammy Hays Degueyter (Brian), Cindy Hays Peter (Steven) and Amanda Hays Lott (Andy). She is also survived by 26 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee (302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS 39111). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
