With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mims Junior Gregory of Magee, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025 at the age of 74. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Mims Junior may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyatt Mims Gregory and Helen Everett Grubbs; and his brother Larry Gregory. He is survived by: his children, David Gregory (Christy) of Magee, MS and Kira Gregory; his sister Mary Elizabeth Brown; and also, Stanley Roberts (Linda) and Kenneth Roberts. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee Monday (302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS 39111). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee Tuesday (302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS 39111). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at the Womack Cemetery.
